An Avocado Toast

I had the Friday off last week and took the time to make myself my favourite breakfast food: an avocado toast with lime, olive oil, cracked pepper and salt. Admittedly it’s simple, BUT…having the time to be leisurely on days when you usually have to rush–and other people are rushing–is the ultimate treat. I spent that morning browsing the internet, reading blogs, and cleaning my e-mail. (Yes, these are things I could do on the weekends, but it’s not the same, is it? Weekends are for sleeping in and making a big mess in the kitchen or dragging yourself out of bed to queue for mediocre eggs or something.)
